Two new Ricky Gervais trailers in two weeks? Somebody pinch me, because pinching oddly turns me on.
Though the trailer reveals virtually nothing about the film (other than that it will FINALLY pair David Brent with a dude best known for playing a Nazi war criminal), the details of Cemetery Junction make it sound more exciting than his other, flashier upcoming film, The Invention of Lying. It’s set in an insurance office in 1970s rural England, is supposedly a semi-autobiographical comedy about Gervais’s and Merchant’s childhoods, and has been described by Gervais as “The Office meets Mad Men.”
This is the single greatest trailer I have ever seen. EVER.
